Ubuntu is a distro that has a code name for each new release. After Ubuntu is supported by a 9.10 Karmic Koala, is based on an official post on the Ubuntu Wiki, Ubuntu will be released by 10.04 codename Lucid Lynx.
Lynx Lucid itself will be one version of the LTS (long-time support) of Ubuntu. Thus Lucid Lynx will be developed and supported its development over 5 years.

- December 3, 2009. Alpha 1
- January 7, 2010. Alpha 2
- February 4, 2010. Alpha 3
- March 4, 2010. Beta 1
- April 1, 2010. Beta 2
- April 15, 2010. Release Candidate.
- April 29, 2010. Final Version.
